Industrial Services

Coating Inspection

Protective coating is used for corrosion control of steel structures such as offshore platforms, bridges, underground pipe lines etc.

The process involved to apply protective coating over a substrate is:

Pre Cleaning

Surface Preparation

Coating Application

Inspection is most generally needed for each phase of coating process to ensure specification compliance.

Based on your requirements either full time or hold point inspection, ITC is able to provide you protective coating inspection services to ensure specification compliance.

Our coating inspectors are professionally certified, qualified and experienced to identify issues regarding performance degradation of protective coating due to improper installation.

Insulation Inspection

Insulation is primarily used on piping and vessels to prevent excessive heat or to maintain temperatures at a low level.

The process involves installing an insulation system is:

  • Surface Preparation

  • Insulation Application

  • Protective Covering

To ensure specification compliance, inspection is needed most generally for each phase of insulation installation process.

Based on your requirements either full time or hold point inspection, ITC is able to provide you insulation inspection services to ensure specification compliance.

Our insulation inspectors are professionally certified, qualified and experienced to identify issues regarding performance degradation of insulation due to improper installation.

All our inspectors hold a valid insulation inspector certification from internationally recognized certification body such as:

  • Institute of Corrosion (ICorr)

  • Institute for Oil & Gas Sector (IOGS)

Fireproofing Inspection

Passive Fire Protection (PFP) attempts to contain fires or slow the spread.

PFP application process involves:

  • Surface Preparation

  • Primer Application

  • PFP Application

To ensure specification compliance, inspection is needed most generally for each phase of PFP application process.

Based on your requirements either full time or hold point inspection, ITC is able to provide you PFP inspection services to ensure specification compliance.

Our PFP inspectors are professionally certified, qualified and experienced to identify issues regarding performance degradation of PFP due to improper installation.

All our inspectors hold a valid PFP inspector certification from various internationally recognized certification bodies such as:

  • Institute of Corrosion (ICorr)

  • Institute for Oil & Gas Sector (IOGS)

Coating Condition Survey

A coating condition survey determines the coating condition of a substrate and is used to establish total maintenance program for re-coating or touch up application.

The types and extent of substrate and coating deterioration are made in accordance with industry standards such as:

  • ISO

  • ASTM

  • NACE

  • SSPC

Coating condition survey consists of a visual assessment of the overall condition of substrates and coating on plant structures.

Physical tests are conducted such as: dry film thickness (DFT) and adhesion etc. Defects are identified and quantified using industry standards. A report is then made using a standard printed form in a complete and quantitative manner for the client owner.

Based on your requirements we are able to provide you coating condition survey services to establish total maintenance program for re-coating or touch up application.

With ITC, coating condition surveys are performed by certified and experienced coating professionals.

Specification Writing (Coating & Insulation)

A specification is defined as a written, legal document, usually part of a contract that precisely describes coating work that is to be accomplished.

A specification defines the quality of materials, mode of construction, and desired amount of work.

The long term success of any coating project is greatly determined by a well prepared specification and its execution.

A well prepared specification goes a long way toward making a job go smoothly and pleasing all parties.

A poorly prepared or structured specification will be a major reason of coating failure.

With ITC experienced and professional specification writers are available, and you can ensure quality and reduce the risk associated with poorly prepared specification.

Our specification are provided into three basic parts:

  • General

  • Materials

  • Work Execution
